Oboist Siyoon Park is developing her career in orchestral and solo performance. She is currently appointed as a fellow member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
She began her career as the youngest principal oboist in New World Youth Symphony Orchestra in Indiana and held principal position during her college years at Seoul National University. And she was a semi finalist of New World Symphony in 2016.
She has performed with New Philharmonia Hamburg Orchestra as a soloist and received 1st prize at Kyungwon University Competition and 2nd prize at Baroque Competition. Along with that, Ms. Park performed chamber music with Seoul Academy Ensemble, Philharmonia Orchestra at Seoul National University. Her chamber group KIES performed at Kumho Arts Center as a winner of Chamber music competition.
Recently, Ms. Park has graduated from Manhattan School of Music where she received Master of Music degree in Orchestral Performance.
She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Seoul National University in South Korea, where she received full scholarship from Bonsol Foundation.
Ms. Park has performed in master classes for renowned oboists including John Mack, Heinz Holliger, Matt Dine, Phil Ross, Christoph Hartmann, Linda Strommen, Max Artved, Robert Walters, Pedro Diaz and Merrill Greenberg, among others.
Ms. Siyoon is greatly indebted to her teachers Liang Wang, Linda Strommen, Miyoung Cheon, Jiwon Yoon, and Hyewon Yoon.
