Clarinetist Gordon Daole-Wellman, currently a Fellow with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, has performed across the country as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. Previously an Artist in Residence at the Lincoln Theater, Napa Valley, he has spent the past three years educating young students and exploring new opportunities for the world of classical music. He has performed in spaces as varied as Boston Symphony Hall, the Zhou Brothers’ Arts Center, Chicago’s Symphony Center, and a repurposed warehouse in Oakland. He has participated in masterclasses for such renowned artists as Frank Cohen, Martin Frost, and members of the Imani Winds and Windscape Wind Quintet, and has worked with conductors including Marin Alsop, Michael Stern, Brett Mitchell, and Rossen Milanov. Gordon holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His principal teachers have been Michael Sussman and Luis Baez.
