Denielle Wilson.jpgDenielle Wilson, from Lithonia, Georgia, is a recent graduate of Northwestern University, having completed her studies in music education and cello performance with Hans Jørgen Jensen and Wei Yu. While at NU, she played in the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra and Northwestern University Cello Ensemble, as well as participated in chamber music groups coached by the Dover Quartet.

Previously, Denielle spent five years in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Program studying with Joel Dallow. Her summer musical experiences include the Interlochen Arts Camp, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Franklin Pond Chamber Music, Meadowmount School of Music, and Aspen Music Festival and School. She has received lessons and coachings from renowned instructors including David Ying, Melissa Kraut, Jeffrey Lastrapes, Michael Mermagen, and Richard Aaron. This past summer, she participated in the Grant Park Music Festival through their Project Inclusion program, and she will begin a fellowship with the Civic Sinfonietta.

Denielle is also a lower strings sectionals coach and private instructor at Niles West High School. She and her two siblings form the Wilson Trio, a piano trio that has presented free community concerts throughout the years since 2007. Ms. Wilson’s interest in music education has kept her active in music ministries at the 1st Evanston SDA Church, and she hopes to continue reaching young people with educational performance experiences and affordable music lessons.
